The need of high quality data set for the study of the actual meteorological and climatological problems (climate change, short and medium range forecast, extremes events risk assesment, etc...) has raised very quickly in recent years. The development of gridded data set is an important part of the solution to this problem. Gridded climate data sets have the advantage of producing a historical set of consistent and regularly distributed observations, and are a very useful tool for validating numerical weather prediction models. This work built-up a high resolution grid based on the Spanish National Meteorological Institute (AEMET) data network. For more information, see the project's memory: pdf
