Description

Dear Valvanuz:

It seems ok to run wrf4g on the local host, I'm now in the level trying to submit it to grid
I add one CE in the framework4g.conf in WRF4G/etc as following

# <scheme>:<username>@<host>?<query>
mycomputer local://localhost?LRMS_TYPE=fork;NODECOUNT=1
quanta ssh://euasia017@quanta.grid.sinica.edu.tw?LRMS_TYPE=pbs;QUEUE_NAME=euasia
#myPBS local://localhost?LRMS_TYPE=pbs;QUEUE_NAME=estadistica
#ui01PBS ssh://valva@ui01.macc.unican.es?LRMS_TYPE=pbs;QUEUE_NAME=estadistica
...

after wrf4g_framework restart, however, there are error messages from wrf4g_resources

connect(): Connection refused
FAILED: failed connection to gwd

Is this due to the wrong setting of the CR list?
on the other hand, should I set the username of gLite CE?, since gLite use pool account and each user will not always have the same username.

Dear Yun-Pin:

WRF4G uses Gridway to submit jobs to different computing environments.

Gridway by default only allows submitting jobs to Grid environments. We have added a new functionality to Gridway (DRM4G) that allows the direct submission to clusters and standalone hosts. This functionality is configured in etc/framework4g.conf.

In order to configure gLite CEs, you don't need the DRM4G feature. Instead, you have to configure your Gridway instance in opt/drm4g_gridway-5.7/etc/gwd.conf just as you used to do it with the old WRF4G.

You can follow the instructions in https://meteo.macc.unican.es/trac/meteo/wiki/GridWay (Skip the installation steps because Gridway is already installed on your system). This instructions describe how to use the Gisela environment that is very similar to yours.

If you do not want to use the localhost anymore, don't forget to comment the line in etc/framework4g.conf

I hope this helps.

Kind regards
Valva
