= WRF Distributions =

WRF distributions must be located under ` $WRF4G_LOCATION/repository/apps` directory. In order to use them, you have to define WRF_VERSION variable in [wiki:WRF4Gresources_wrf4g resources.wrf4g] file. The WRF package must have this form `WRFbin-[WRF_VERSION].tar.gz`.

`WRFbin-local_WRF.tar.gz` package is a special package because it does not contain any binary. It is only used if you want to execute your local WRF model installed on your resources. In this case, it is not necessary to move the WRF binaries in each simulation as happen with other packages.
